2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca Edition: Charles Holmes
In 2010 Ford Motor Company revived the Boss 302 moniker for racing in what was then the Continental Sports Car Challenge or Trans-Am series and the Pirelli World Challenge series.
This led to the homologation and release of the Boss 302 and Boss 302 Laguna Seca to the public in 2012 and 2013. The Laguna Seca Edition, being more track-focused and coming equipped with more race-specific parts that would be used in the Trans-Am and World Challenge series. Like the 1969 and 1970 homologation special Boss 302s, whose production was limited to 8641 units, the new Boss 302s would be similarly limited. Of the 8334 Boss 302s built in 2012 – 2013, only 1528 were Laguna Seca editions.
Inspired by the 1970 Boss 302 driven by Parnelli Jones to the 1970 Trans-Am Championship. Unique factory features include: All forged engine internals and U-code tuning, Recaro racing seats, rear seat delete with chassis cross brace, brake cooling ducts, transmission cooler, adjustable front splitter, 3.73 Torsen diff, functional rear spoiler, R-Comp tires, 6-way adjustable suspension, and quad exhaust (side and rear). Total engine output is rated at 444hp/380lb/ft with a 7500rpm redline.
